A lone ex-steelworker walks in the shadow of the rusting Redcar Blast Furnace. This skyline won't be around for much longer. At one stage nearly 100 Blast furnaces lined the banks of the River Tees and the iron and steel produced here was sent all around the globe. The Sydney Harbour bridge was built with Teesside steel by Dorman Long and Co.
